There aren't too many pigs that have long hair, that's because pigs are not raised for their hair but for their meat. The Kunekune is a small breed of domestic pig that is very hairy. The pig originated in New Zealand, and it has become a popular pet over the years. The pig doesn't look like your typical pig, and it comes in different colors including brown, white, cream, black, ginger, gold tip, tri-colored, and black and white. If you're considering adopting one of these pigs you should be prepared for a lot of shedding.

Wild boars are a unique type of pig. They're also known as a wild pig, and they are the ancestor of the domestic pig. These pigs are often found in Asia, Europe, and recently the wild boar population has grown in the Americas. They grow to be over 6.5 feet long and 3.6 feet high. They are very heavy with an average weight of 660 pounds. When cornered the wild boar will attack, this is something you don't expect from a typical pig that you'd find on a farm.

The Peccary is a very strange and unique looking new world pig. It's also known as the skunk Pig and the Java Lina. It's a very hairy Pig which is not all that common. The peccary can weigh close to 90 pounds, and it can grow to be up to 51 inches long. The peccaries head doesn't look much like a pig. However, the back of the peccary and the tiny legs proved that he is a member of the pig family.

The giant forest hog isn't a hairy Pig, however, he does have long hair. While his body isn't completely covered with hair, he does have long patches of hair filled with bald spots. He stands over seven feet tall when he's on his behind legs, and he can grow to be over four feet long. He's a very heavy pig too. He can grow to over 6006 pounds. These pigs cannot be domesticated. In fact, they're very difficult to catch in the wild.

The Gascon pig is not very hairy, but the hair he does have is long. It's a very rare domestic pig breed that originated in France. Sadly, this pig is an endangered pig breed, and there are not too many left. He can grow to be very large, and his face looks as though it's covered in armor. Many people say the pig looks more like a small hippo than a pig.

This is one Pig breed you will not believe exists. The pig got its name because it has lumps on its body that are similar to warts. Unlike many pigs, this one has long shaggy hair. These pigs are found on several islands in the Philippines, and it is a critically endangered pig. The scientific name for it is Susan Sebby Franz, and it's one of the most peculiar looking pigs in existence.

This is a pretty cool looking pig actually. He has long hair and unique spots all over his body. These pigs are so special because they are very docile and much more intelligent than other pigs. They're very friendly, and they can be trained to go to the bathroom in a litter box when they're small. They don't make good pets though when they're old because they get to be very large 

8. The Bush Pig

The bush pig is one of the strangest looking pigs in the world. It's also the hairiest. These pigs can grow to be over 3 feet tall and can weigh over 330 pounds. He's most commonly found in East Africa and southern Africa; particularly in Somalia and Ethiopia. These pigs tend to be aggressive, especially when cornered.

The Guinea hog also goes by several other names including Akron eater, yard Big, Piney Woods Guinea, and the guinea forest hog. He's a very hairy breed and his ears always remain erect. He's not the largest Pig around though. He weighs in at close to 200 pounds when fully grown.

10. The Warthog

The war dog is often found in South Africa grazing in the grasslands of Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya. It's also one of the pigs in existence. This pig is also called the packer coitus Africanness, and the common warthog the large tusks on each side of his mouth can be very dangerous if the warthog decides to attack. If you were to run into one of these animals you should run the other way. The last thing you want is to be gored by the ugliest pig in the world.

11. The Mangalitsa

This is one of the most densely haired Pig breeds in the world. He is grayish black, and his fur is very thick and very long. His breed is not especially aggressive, however, he is not docile either. The safest way to encounter one of these pigs is just to walk away quickly.

The pig in this photo is the largest pig in the world. It grew to be over 1984 pounds before it died. It's not an especially aggressive breed. And the man and the blood, well, that's somebody's idea of a Photoshop joke. The pig in the photo is actually eating his food, and the man was photoshopped in later.
